The route takes you directly (10 km) or over the Senheimer Bridge (23 km) to Beilstein, the “sleeping beauty” of the Moselle. We have put together a picnic basket with delicious delicacies and drinks on the way. Enjoy nature directly on the Moselle. In the early afternoon, the ship will take you back to Cochem with your bike and a lock passage from Beilstein. Here our winemaker awaits you for wine tasting. Cochem is often referred to as the pearl of River Mosel for its romantic atmosphere and scenic views. Cochem was also once an Imperial estate, and was once besieged and occupied by the french. King Louis XIV burned down the original castle and conquered the city, which led to a lengthy reconstruction. Napoleon’s army also occupied the city in 18th century, but then was assigned to Prussian rule with the fall of Napoleon.
