Our guided City Skyline Kayak Tours are 1.5–2 hours long and follow the Milwaukee River up towards downtown Milwaukee. We do not make any stops along the way for this tour, but we do provide details about Milwaukee's history and attractions along the river. This tour will take you along historic Cottage Row in Fish Creek where you'll view homes of new and old. The rich history of this waterfront shoreline will display why this stretch of land is some of the most desirable waterfront property in Door County. We will then take the boat off shore to the Strawberry Islands with Chambers Island in the distance. Learn about the camp on Adventure Island that was once a destination for local kids in the summertime. Lastly, we'll get you up close to Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. On September 30, 1882, Hearthstone was the first house in the world to be lit by an Edison central hydroelectric power station. The house retains many unique, genuine features, including the original Thomas Edison electroliers and light switches.
