This trip leaves from our beautiful three acre outpost located right across the French Broad River from the outskirts of the historic Biltmore property. We believe that we have crafted the perfect length float, typically between two and three hours, to relax, soak up some sun, and have a great time with friends and family. We keep all of our trips small so that every trip feels private and special. After your tube, we bring you back to our outpost where you can have a cold drink at our bar or enjoy live music and games on the weekend.

Your local guide will share stories about Pisgah National Forest, its rich history, and unique biodiversity, and we will stop at our favorite overlooks with the best vistas and great picture spots, guaranteed to make your friends and family jealous! We will take you up to 5,500 feet above sea level, through dense forest, and miles and miles of views. Important: Mountain weather is extremely unpredictable. Rain is very normal in these mountains. We will make sure you have ponchos but be prepared to get wet on this tour. If the weather becomes dangerous and we must cancel the trip, you will receive a full refund.

The excursion will take you through beautiful mountain scenery on the way to visit three impressive waterfalls and two protected forests as well as a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather permitting) to discover the amazing views surrounding this iconic road that connects two National Parks. We provide comfortable seating in a climate controlled van. Drinks/snacks are included. IMPORTANT Guest should be prepared for walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over a period of 2 hours, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. The tour is not suitable for children under 12. We will return to Asheville by approximately 1:30 p.m.

The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. This tour combines an incredible stretch of exciting and continuous rapids with some of the most breathtaking scenery around.
