Enjoy the beautiful scenic landscapes of Cardiff Bay with the Cardiff Bay Boat Tour. This tour makes a stop at Penarth Barrage to allow some sailors to join the journey and others to disembark at their leisure to explore the surrounding areas.

We start at the south end of the aqueduct and soon enough you are paddling across this famous feat of engineering which stands at an impressive 126ft above the Dee River. Although this style of canoeing is deemed a calm and peaceful session the look over the edge is a breathtaking sight, but with our staff on hand, there is nothing to worry about, especially with a safe footpath on the opposing side. After this it is then a breeze down the canal, learning and developing skills across the way with some games and challenges thrown in. Step into the heart of Wales on our Welsh Castles, Mountains and Steam Railway day tour — a carefully curated journey through Wales’ most striking landscapes and historic landmarks. This tour travels from Cardiff into South and Mid Wales, passing by the iconic Cardiff Castle before visiting Caerphilly Castle - one of the largest and best-preserved medieval fortresses in Europe. From here, the journey continues into open countryside, with a nostalgic steam train ride on the Brecon Mountain Railway winding through the stunning scenery of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, before visiting Talybont Reservoir. Enjoy free time in the quaint market town of Brecon, beautifully set on the River Usk. Take a peaceful walk along the canal, visit the atmospheric cathedral, or relax over lunch in one of the town’s cafés. You'll also get to see more of Wales' amazing scenery, and learn more about the landscape, wildlife and history of Bannau Brycheiniog at the National Park Visitor Centre.

On this tour you are accompanied by a historian with a deep passion and knowledge of Wales. Alternatively, if you prefer to relax, take some time for yourself to enjoy the beach or savour an ice cream by the seafront. The highlight of your tour will be a visit to Rhossili Bay.
