The Sanctuary of Fátima is, par excellence, a place of Christian pilgrimage and Catholic devotion, preserving the memory of the events that led to its foundation, namely the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima to the three shepherds - Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto - in 1917. In this tour, we will visit the place of Aljustrel, the so-called Aldeia de Valinhos, place where the 3 little shepherds lived. Arriving at the sanctuary, we will visit the Basilica of Nossa Senhora do Rosário. The building, which stands out for its 65 meters high tower, is the place where the remains of the three little shepherds rest. We will then visit the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, the most recent of the sanctuary, and the Capelinha das Aparições where, with a little luck, you will have the opportunity to attend a mass. After the visit we return to your hotel in Coimbra.
Travel to the Schist Villages of Serra da Lousã, a group of small villages of shepherds spread across the mountains. The visit begins at the Village of Cerdeira, right in the heart of the mountains. It is a place of artistic inspiration based on the School of Arts and Crafts that promote art and creativity in line with the silence and the surrounding natural wealth. We continue through the Village of Candal. Nestled in the mountains on a hill facing south, the visitor walks through the narrow, steep streets and from the top of the viewpoint contemplates the beautiful views over the valley. The Village of Talasnal, the largest and best preserved. Discovering the village through the narrow, steep streets of the hillside is timeless. We return to Coimbra after this journey "in time" to our rural ancestor.

I went on to work in theatre, television and film for 10 years eventually running my own theatre company for 20 years. As a company we tried to make the work as imaginative and unique as possible, in one show we walked across the UK with no money, food or accommodation to see if humanity was kind. In another play we emigrated to Poland and used the experience for an award winning UK tour about immigration. We will then visit the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, the most recent of the sanctuary, and the Capelinha das Aparições where, with a little luck, you will have the opportunity to attend a mass. After the visit we return to your hotel in Coimbra.

I turned shops into theatre spaces, I performed in barns, houses, fields and many of the UK's best theatres.
