On this tour we visit both the western and central craters. In the western crater of Sete Cidades we vistit stunning views at 650 meters above sea level on the the rim of the crater. We view below us the twin lake with the princesses and sheppards tears. This crater is one of the seven wonders of Portugal and is a must see. Maria grew up in the Azores in a small village of 10,000 people. She bought a house on a small plot of land with an orchard where she grows figs, apples, pears, almonds, oranges and more. Living in the subtropical climate of the Azores, Maria also is able to grow a variety of tropical fruits including papaya, guava and lychee. After a welcome drink and snack and tour of Maria’s garden and home, start your cooking class. During your cooking class you will learn how to make a traditional Azorean meal featuring seasonal ingredients. After cooking, sit down together to enjoy your traditional Azorean family-style meal.
