I'll take you to one of my favorite spots in Gorges du Verdon where I go with my family and friends. The best way to explore this unic place is to have a boat ride in the canyon, the biggest in all Europe. You'll drive your little private electric boat having a picnic with some local wines. We will leave Marseille at 4:15pm so we can catch the nice sunset when we get to Valensole plateau. The trip to get there is around 1 hour and 20 minutes. Because if you go to the lavender fields to take pictures, the golden light is between 8pm and 9:30pm. During the day the light is very strong and it can be very hot. We will leave Marseille at 4:15pm so we can catch the nice sunset when we get to Valensole plateau. The trip to get there is around 1 hour and 20 minutes. You will be surrounded by fields of lavender, the famous Provençal scented plant, abound here. We will also stop in a lavender distillery along the way where you have the opportunity to buy products directly from the producers; and we will leave you some free time in the village of Valensole.
