On this private Adelaide walking tour, you'll hear about the history and culture that has shaped Adelaide into what it is today. Your born-and-raised local guide gives you a warm welcome to our friendly city, providing an orientation of Adelaide's main streets and key landmarks. You will stop by important spots including Adelaide Arcade and Town Hall, before finishing outside the Adelaide Central Market. This tour provides you with understanding of how Adelaide's history has impacted the present - walk away with greater knowledge about what makes the city vibrant and modern, and leave armed with recommendations on how to continue your Adelaide stay. *For bookings of two or more, this tour runs for two hours. A fantastic day exploring Adelaide's beautiful Hahndorf ( Historical German Village), Goolwa ( Where the Murrey River Meets the sea) , Victor Harbor ( An Historical whaling Port), the tour will be concluded with D'arenberg Cube as a last stop. Horse-drawn Tram is an independent activity (at your own expense) It is a group tour, totally a shared experience and numbers can reach up to 30 in a day and can accommodate in car, minibus, and bus/coach.
Experience the only hop-on hop-off winery tour in Hahndorf and the Adelaide Hills, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Departing from the Adelaide CBD or joining in-region, your comfortable bus collects you from Stamford Plaza Hotel in the morning and takes you on a scenic circuit through the beautiful hills surrounding the historic township of Hahndorf. The loop features 8–10 hand-picked wineries and venues, with each circuit taking approximately 1 hour to complete. You’re free to hop on or off at any of 4 selected stops on the timetable, creating a flexible, personalized tour experience. The bus follows the same timetable each hour until it’s time to return to Adelaide in the late afternoon, disembarking at approximately 5:00 pm. This is a tour designed for those who want to explore the Adelaide Hills at their own pace, enjoy the stunning scenery, and discover charming cellar doors and local venues independently from other groups.
Lifting off from the Hoffnungsthal Valley we cruise past the township of Lyndoch veering right, to fly along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Here you will see the vast plains that make up the mid-north area whilst viewing contouring vineyards, rolling hills and the palm tree studded roads that lead to Historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Continuing towards Nuriootpa, your pilot will point out Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery, before flying down the valley floor over Tanunda where you can see the stunning old buildings of Chateau Tanunda and many old churches. Flying further south you will enjoy a view over Jacob’s Winery, home of some of the largest wine tanks in Australia each tank holding up to 1.4 million litres of wine. From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall returning finally to our base in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.
A fantastic half day exploring Adelaide's beautiful Hahndorf. Take in the incredible view of Adelaide and suburbs from 710 metres above sea level at Mt Lofty Summit (weather permitting). Then walk the street and discover the delights of Australia’s oldest German settlement. Mount Lofty, the highest peak in the Adelaide Hills, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and city of Adelaide. It's a popular destination for hiking, picnicking, and enjoying nature, with lush gardens and scenic walking trails.
Kangaroo Island has plenty to offer everyone. Visit one of the island’s vineyards, three of the island’s popular gourmet food outlets and The Lavender Farm. Designed for Cruise Ship Passengers Only. CP Tours and Charters is ready to serve your every need where we will pick you up from your Hotel / Motel location at 8:30am and return at 5pm approx. Tours include standard wine tasting fees from wineries and wine tasting and lunch at Lamberts Estate Winery. Non standard wine tasting experiences are extra and not included in package. Private charters have the options of customer selected lunch venues and cellar door options. Arrive back in Adelaide approx. 5pm.
After departing from our home base in the peaceful Hoffnungsthal Valley, it's time to relax and take in the gorgeous sights and surrounds as you enjoy the beautiful scenic helicopter flight northeast over Rowland Flat, home of Jacob’s Creek Winery, where some of Australia’s largest wine tanks are located. Spend some time marveling over the fact that these tanks hold up to 1.4 million litres of WINE before you get a stunning bird’s eye view of the southern end of the Barossa. Just sit back and enjoy the flight as we take you past the quaint town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall following up stream to the South Para Reservoirs before returning to our base via Williamstown, capturing a perfect view of the idyllic southern Barossa Ranges.

Start with chocolate making with a Haigh’s Chocolates factory tour including complimentary chocolate tasting, then visit Adelaide’s highest peak, Mount Lofty Summit, to experience a panoramic view of Adelaide (you may even spot a kangaroo or koala!) after that drive to the Grunthal Brew for Gin Tasting then through beautiful hills villages of Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater on the way to Hahndorf. Relax at Golding Wines with a Wine Flight (set tasting of red and white wines). Visit Beerenberg Strawberry Farm Shop where you will be able to taste their world-renowned jams, condiments and products'. The last stop is wine tasting at Sidewood Cellar Door at Hahndorf. Get a glimpse of Kangaroo Island’s history, culture, and local products on our half-day exploration of Kangaroo Island. Visit the iconic Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery where you learn about the manufacturing process and view a large range of local products and produce. Next stop is the Island Beehive where you can taste and purchase some of the purest honey in the world. Then travel to the township of Kingscote. You will have 1 hour to explore the main township, shop at the local gift shops or have lunch in one of the local cafes. As you depart Kingscote, drive past the famous Silo Art which has become a fan favorite. An amazing photo opportunity! Next you travel to Kangaroo Island Brewery where a fantastic taste testing of their famous craft beers and ciders await you. Enjoy your transfer to Pennington Bay a wild and rocky coastline perfect for photos! Having visiting several different key locations and enjoy sampling local goods and products you head back to Penneshaw.
With over 27 years in Adelaide & the Tourism Industry we have great knowledge about Adelaide and Hahndorf. This is a Narrated Tour and is subject to change as sometimes we have requests to maybe go a longer way thru the Adelaide Hills weather permitting. Sometimes we may skip Mt Lofty. If you can't see it from the city we will waste are time going there, which may give us more time to visit another area along the way or spend more time in Hahndorf itself. It is a group tour, totally a shared experience and numbers can reach up to 25 in a day and can be accommodated in a car, minibus, and bus/coach.
Lifting off from the heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy flying past Lyndoch before tracking along the western ridge of the Barossa to Historic Seppeltsfield. Here you will see vineyards contouring the rolling hills, palm tree studded roads. From there you will fly over Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery before veering along the eastern side of Nuriootpa, around the Wolf Blass winery, and then the view of large limestone quarry near the town of Angaston. A little further on you will get a bird’s eye view of one of the most beautiful horse racing studs in south Australia. As you descend into the valley towards Tanunda, your pilot will point out some of the historic buildings and settlements like Chateau Tanunda and Bethany. Beyond Tanunda is home of Jacobs Creek. From there we take you to the southern end of the Barossa, past Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall (the Barossa reservoir) before finally returning to the Hoffnungsthal Valley.
