After departing from our home base in the peaceful Hoffnungsthal Valley, it's time to relax and take in the gorgeous sights and surrounds as you enjoy the beautiful scenic helicopter flight northeast over Rowland Flat, home of Jacob’s Creek Winery, where some of Australia’s largest wine tanks are located. Spend some time marveling over the fact that these tanks hold up to 1.4 million litres of WINE before you get a stunning bird’s eye view of the southern end of the Barossa. Just sit back and enjoy the flight as we take you past the quaint town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall following up stream to the South Para Reservoirs before returning to our base via Williamstown, capturing a perfect view of the idyllic southern Barossa Ranges.
Lifting off from the Hoffnungsthal Valley we cruise past the township of Lyndoch veering right, to fly along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Here you will see the vast plains that make up the mid-north area whilst viewing contouring vineyards, rolling hills and the palm tree studded roads that lead to Historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Continuing towards Nuriootpa, your pilot will point out Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery, before flying down the valley floor over Tanunda where you can see the stunning old buildings of Chateau Tanunda and many old churches. Flying further south you will enjoy a view over Jacob’s Winery, home of some of the largest wine tanks in Australia each tank holding up to 1.4 million litres of wine. From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall returning finally to our base in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.
This 4.5 hours ( including travel from /to Adelaide CBD base) tour is designed for small private groups up to 12 people maximum. Please note this tour can be customised to your needs, for example a winery or distillery visit instead of chocolate factory. For larger groups over 6 people we usually organise lunch in one of German pubs or in a restaurant of your choice.

Join us on a guided kayak tour and paddle where only kayaks can go. All this only 25 minutes from Adelaide CBD. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or trying kayaking for the first time, our friendly and knowledgeable guides will ensure you feel confident and safe on the water. All equipment is provided, with tours suitable for adults and children over 10+ (Children 10-15 must be with a parent/adult in a double kayak and must be able to paddle) Participants don’t need any prior kayaking experience, and we travel at a comfortable pace to accommodate reasonable fitness levels. This is a unique and special destination and an absolute must do when visiting Adelaide. Please note departure times are varied due to tide times and it is essential that you arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time.
The Kayak Tour explores the Dolphin Sanctuary and Ships Graveyard Maritime Heritage Trail, just 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. Here you find one of Adelaide's "secret spots", it is an area of surprising beauty. The sheltered mangrove lined creeks are home to a fascinating array of marine life, birds and the Port River Dolphins. The Ship's Graveyard is a unique feature of the area with over 20 "wrecks" to view. All this makes for a sensational adventure and kayaking is the most environmentally sensitive way to explore and interact with the dolphins.
