This trip leaves from our beautiful three acre outpost located right across the French Broad River from the outskirts of the historic Biltmore property. We believe that we have crafted the perfect length float, typically between two and three hours, to relax, soak up some sun, and have a great time with friends and family. The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. This tour combines an incredible stretch of exciting and continuous rapids with some of the most breathtaking scenery around.

The French Broad river spans 218 miles from Rosman, North Carolina through Asheville, and toward the state of Tennessee. Section 9 of the French Broad river starts approximately 45 minutes away from Asheville near Marshall, North Carolina and runs through the Pisgah National Forest. The majority of French Broad Section 9 flows through protected lands, and is beginner-friendly. Your guide will navigate you through approximately 5 miles of Section 9, where you will raft through class II and class III difficulty levels, and you may briefly encounter class IV drops depending on the time of year, and the amount of rainfall. Enjoy this relaxing and spectacularly beautiful float through the breathtaking Biltmore property. This calm water trip begins in the heart of Asheville at our Outpost. We shuttle you to our private access point to launch your trip. The trip lasts approximately 2.5-3 hours. On this trip you will float down the majestic French Broad river starting south of the city. Along the way you will see views of the surrounding southern Appalachian mountains and will often have a chance to see some of the local wildlife (if you’re lucky). At the conclusion of this trip you will finish back at our Outpost in the heart of the famous River Arts District where you can relax and enjoy a beer at our bar by the river. Check the rankings during and after you play to see your score and compare it to others. All our Scavenger hunts have a live remote host to help along the way. We know what it's like to visit a new place (or return to an already-visited place). You want to see and experience as much as you can! We understand that. Our main goal with the Tour de Wilmington is to show you as much of Wilmington as possible. The areas that we travel through or have a brief stop in, are areas that you may not have discovered otherwise! Some of these are off the beaten path, some up-and-coming, but all are sure to impress. Our tours are focused on mainly riding the e-bikes, showing you around the areas. Getting on and off e-bikes can be challenging for some, and for this reason, we specifically do not require attendees to dismount and re-mount their e-bikes several times throughout the tour (aka, a talking tour). We will have brief stops at a few places, but for the most part, you will get to really enjoy a beautiful e-bike ride!
