Last step of the coastal navigation will be Riomaggiore and Punta Montenero the most south-eastern point of Cinque Terre National Park. Here you can enjoy your time swimming and marveling at the views of the islands such Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. While you are amusing yourself our staff will be pleased to prepare a savory lunch made of our typical local food for you. Lunch could be taken over here or at the bay of Monterosso or in the peculiar harbour of Vernazza due to weather conditions. As we take in the stunning view of the sea from the vineyard, you'll begin the class by learning the fascinating history of pesto from Spezia. Cesarina will explain the traditional system of using the best basil plants and carefully selecting high-quality ingredients to ensure the best flavor. Then, you'll learn the two methods of preparing pesto: using a mortar and pestle or an electric blender and you'll recieve tips on how to properly store the pesto to keep it fresh for as long as possible. After you've made pesto, you'll package it up to take home and enjoy. You can savor the fruits of your labor either when you return home or on a rocky cliff overlooking the sea.
