2026 will mark the 110th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme,one of the largest and bloodiest offensives of the First World War. This battle lasted 4 and a half months resulting in 420 000 casualties in the British army, among them 360,000 were from the British Isles. To honour their memory, Get-a-guide is offering a “Taylor-made tour”. If you had a British relative who fought during this terrible battle; we will be pleased to research his service and design a full-day tour going in his footsteps. This includes visits to the major First World War sites in the Somme; such “Lochnagar Crater”, Thiepval Memorial of the missing and Newfoundland Memorial Park.
