Mero has undergone some serious and significant changes due to hurricanes and the loss of the jetty and the local beachside Hotel. However it still retains its magical place as a premier Black Sand beach with balmy waters and gently sloping waterline. Just be aware when the waves are strong around the equinox of the moon. This also affect the water visibility from 40m to Zero.

The Lobster Palace restaurant at the resort was a great experience. I enjoyed the delicious lobster and potato croquettes, and the lobster itself was huge and served as a whole lobster, not just a tail or half. It was a tasty meal, although it could have been a bit more moist with some extra basting. I wished there were additional tools provided to help with hard-to-reach areas like the legs. The service was excellent, and the ambience was pleasant. The local juices were also delicious. The restaurant was very clean and offered good value for money. I definitely plan on returning next year!
