Next, we head to the open sea and then to the village of Canto do Atins, where the well-known restaurants of Mr. Antônio, Mrs. Luzia, and Carminha (Ponta do Mangue) are located. In the month of August, hundreds of Afro-Americans come to Bahia just to experience the festivities of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Good Death

The departure to the boarding point starts at 8:20 AM, with times that may vary depending on the distance to the meeting spot. After boarding the speedboat, we will navigate the river for about 40 minutes until we reach the village of Vassouras, known for its deep lagoons during the rainy season and the presence of playful capuchin monkeys. Next, we head to the village of Mandacaru, where you can climb the Preguiças Lighthouse and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view. There are also craft shops, as well as caipirinhas and ice creams with typical regional flavors. Finally, the tour ends at Caburé Beach, a sand peninsula bordered by the river on one side and the sea on the other. Lunch will be at one of the beach’s restaurants. Our tour starts with a pick-up from the hotel in a buggy to go to Tatajuba. During the tour, we will pass by several lagoons, dunes, and deserted beaches and upon arrival at our destination, we will see a blue-green lagoon and many impressive dunes. It is interesting to note that the region has a very peculiar history where the community was buried by the dunes about 30 years ago because of the wind and the whole town had to be rebuilt by the residents, giving birth to the name of Nueva Tatajuba. When we arrive at the Love Island we will make a stop for lunch and then you can enjoy this region that looks like a semi-desert formed by its white sands and also has several crystalline water lagoons that form a set of natural pools.
