Fairmont Orchid Plajı

The Fairmont Orchid is an absolutely beautiful hotel! My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel, a stunning pool and beach area, lovely restaurants and a fab deli (as well as a very handy area nearby called "The Shops" which has a few restaurants and a grocery store). We loved seeing the turtles in the bay! The staff were all very helpful - Maria at Reception in particular gave us a lovely warm welcome on arrival, and went out of her way to help us with various requests during our stay which made such a difference - we really appreciated her kindness. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel, which my husband and I dream of visiting again someday!

The best massage ever! I had the privilege of completing a spa treatment, and it was truly a healing experience. My massage therapist, Amy was fantastic! I’ve been having a nagging shoulder impingement and she had the right technique to give me comfort in my shoulder. With a mix of deep tissue and Acupressure She massaged out all of the nuts and tightness in my right shoulder. I had the massage in the bungalows next to the waterfall, which was super relaxing! Thank you again, Amie for a great experience and your healing hands!

Beautiful resort with some of the best views to sunsets. The pool is pretty big, a decent whirlpool jacuzzi, and they have private beach access where the waters are calm and a high probability to see turtles/fishes near the shore itself. The staff at the beach was amazing and super helpful! We also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the orchid court restaurant. The staff inside the property was a hit or a miss and service wasn't consistent and what I expected of a 5 star property though.

This was our second time here, first was 2019. This is still a great hotel overall but it loses one star because the North Tower rooms and common areas need updating and another star because the quality of the food everywhere on this property was disappointing. Breakfast was great but every other meal I had was average at best. I expect how pricey everything is but not the quality. Our best meal over the week here was when we went to Halani restaurant in the neighboring hotel.

This has been the best experience of any hotel or resort I have had. This trip was taken to propose to my girlfriend. Barbie, Director of Quality, contacted me and made sure our stay was extra special. After the proposal, we came back to the room setup with flowers, decorations, chocolates, and champagne! The staff are extremely polite and welcoming. The property is beautiful and they have easy beach access. The restaurants at the hotel were delicious. There is a nice grocery store 2 min drive away if you prefer to buy your own food. The gym is good for hotel standards. There are nice filtered water dispensers everywhere. This stay was worth every penny and I am glad I did not choose any of the other hotels/resort. I recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Big Island.
