Our Mountain Leader guide will deliver this true mountain day, 14km and 900m of ascent, to the summit of this world-renowned mountain by a lesser-known path. With Snowdon being popular its paths can become very crowded indeed. However, the path we will take for the ascent only ever has a handful of walkers and midweek we'll have it to ourselves! This is remarkable as Snowdon is quite rightly the most visited mountain peak in the UK. This allows our tour to the summit of Snowdon to be a relaxed event with a true flavour of isolation. The descent is 'off piste' and follows the escarpment edge, with, weather permitting, dramatic views straight down into the valley below and across to the slate town of Llanberis.

Betws-y-Coed is Britain’s first artists’ colony, nestled at the entrance to Snowdonia National Park. On this self-guided walking tour, you’ll stroll down this village’s charming streets, riverside paths, and historic bridges to find out how this woodland paradise inspired generations of landscape painters. The tour starts at the historic Betws-y-Coed Railway Station. As you explore this picturesque settlement – meaning “prayer house in the woods“ – you’ll find out how painter David Cox established Britain’s first art colony here in 1844, forever changing the Welsh village’s fortunes. This is an authentic experience exploring an abandoned mine, with various optional challenges; involving climbing, an abseil, a tyrolean (short zipline) and a short boat crossing. There isn't anything artificial about this trip with the addition of safety anchors being the only changes you'll find in the mine, where necessary, as such, it is most similar to caving with the only lights being those on your headtorches (provided). Our seasoned river guides will be waiting for you at the Bearded Men Adventure Hub, here you'll be kitted up in our changing rooms and given a safety brief before we drive you to the starting point at the famous Horseshoe Falls. You'll be fully guided for the duration of your River Tubing adventure by our experienced team. Once on the water and after some proof that you can float, we'll head down the twisting and winding rapids of the River Dee. There are three major rapids on our route, do not fear our guides will be on hand to steer you through them all. The most famous is Serpents Tail, a tick off for most aspiring white water enthusiasts. You'll have the option to run the same rapid twice or for the faint hearted there is always the option to avoid the rapids completely.

We start at the south end of the aqueduct and soon enough you are paddling across this famous feat of engineering which stands at an impressive 126ft above the Dee River. Although this style of canoeing is deemed a calm and peaceful session the look over the edge is a breathtaking sight, but with our staff on hand, there is nothing to worry about, especially with a safe footpath on the opposing side. After this it is then a breeze down the canal, learning and developing skills across the way with some games and challenges thrown in. Our endpoint is the Sun Trevor pub which is a great location for some good quality grub and a cold drink.
