Focussing on the south coast, in addition to Slapton we'll visit Plymouth, where some 36,000 GI's departed. Plymouth is said to be the most bombed city in WWII (per sq mile) more than London and Coventry and is still the largest naval dockyard in Western Europe. Down the coast the picturesque coastal town of Dartmouth is home to two stunningly preserved castles at the mouth of the River Dart as well as Britannia Naval College, home to US naval command and where Queen Elizabeth first set eyes on the Duke of Edinburgh. Our route takes us to some of the South west's most remote, wild and spectacular places - all linked together on sleepy country lanes with very little traffic. This area is extremely beautiful but can be hilly, and this is where the electric bikes come into their own. Our route will last 2.5-3 hours and will take us on some lovely roads out to the cliffs, with a tea rooms and local pub along the way if you fancy a refreshment. To get access to some of the most interesting places (for example a shipwreck-wood cabin built into the cliff face in the 1800's) we will park the bikes and go on foot for 15 minutes, so please be aware bring shoes you are comfortable walking in too. Please note a good level of fitness is still required to operate the bikes and walk out to the cliffs. The bikes have a max rider weight limit of 120kg.

For over 900 years, the Tower of London has been the site of intrigues, imprisonments, and executions. On this exclusive tour, your small group will be assigned an individual Yoeman Warder, or Beefeater, to explain how this attraction has been a key backdrop in the story of the English monarchy.

Within the ancient Fortress, the Tower of London, visitors can gaze up at the imposing White Tower and marvel at the priceless Crown Jewels. Hear bloody tales of the Tower told by the Yeoman Warders; stand where famous heads rolled and discover where prisoners and exotic animals including a polar bear were kept. Tours start every 30 minutes from the Middle Tower and are included in admission. Visit the Royal Armouries Line of Kings display, the world's longest running museum exhibit, in the iconic White Tower. Complete your visit on the Tower Wharf overlooking the river Thames, Tower Bridge and Europe's tallest skyscraper, The Shard.

Totally unique experience offered with this trip. Take off and climb away using our 80hp Rotax engine and upon reaching 1 mile above sea level we will slowly reduce power and allow the engine to gently cool down. After about a minute of cooling we will stop the engine completely and become a proper glider with a glide ratio of 24 to 1. This should give us 15-20 minutes of silent engineless flight or more if we can find some thermals and go soaring with the birds.
