Join us, in a small group tour, for a day full of fun, visiting the most well-known landmarks in the city, and culture, visiting downtown Rio and it’s fascinating buildings. Following our pickup at the Cruise Terminal, board an air-conditioned minivan and head straight to the Statue of Christ the Redeemer. Travel through Tijuca National Park, and spend ample time admiring views beside one of the New7Wonders of the World. Then, take a cable car to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain for more spectacular vistas of Rio. Following a break for lunch at a restaurant in Ipanema, continue to Maracanã Stadium and the Sambadrome to admire the exterior of each. Tick off the Lapa Neighborhood, the Selarón Staircase (Escadaria Selarón), and Rio de Janeiro Cathedral on a panoramic tour, and see the extravagant interior of São Bento Monastery on a guided tour. Embark on a family-friendly educational tour. This tour focus on bringing attention to environmental issues and preserving endangered species. Starting with hotel pickup, we take you to the Marapendi Lagoon. We take a boat tour through the lagoon to find out more about the issues faced by the locals. We get to see the work of the biologists in charge of preserving the wild life in the lagoon. We get amazed by their efforts in saving the local animals. If we are lucky, we may even help delivering an alligator back to the lagoon. After the boat tour, we go to the Reserva Beach or do water sports. Keep in mind that this is a rustic type of tour. The toilets are functional yet simple. There are no restaurants or shops around the area. It is a place to relax and enjoy an intimate contact with nature. At the end, if you are hungry, the tour guide can suggest a nice place for lunch (not included). After lunch, we return to the hotel.
