Beach das Cunchas

Small, not too busy beach. Clean water. Clean sand but with quite a few broken shells. It's okay, on the towel you don't notice and you can walk on it, if you forget the very, very hot sand. Free parking under the pine trees next to the beach. Very good for going with family. Fairly cold water. 40 minutes from Santiago de Compostela. There is a small terrace restaurant at the entrance/exit to the beach. It's called "Chiringuito os bos amigos". Barrier gestures well respected. Just a shame that people smoke in all four corners while we eat. Nice staff. We didn't wait long and it wasn't bad for a small, informal beach restaurant.

It is certainly not up to par with the beaches in relatively nearby towns such as Ribeira, Sanxenxo or O Grove, but Rianxo is our favorite beach, it is comfortable and has a very beautiful setting. It has a very comfortable and pleasant beach bar. The sand has many shells that can cause damage and sometimes there are algae that can accumulate in the sand. I do not recommend going at low tide because, as happens in Vilagarcia and other beaches in the estuary, bathing becomes very difficult and everything is left uncovered. of rocks
