Buffalo Beach is one of our favourite beaches at Waikato.
My husband and I usually go there for a relaxing stroll on weekends.
We enjoyed the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere there and we highly recommend you to visit there if you live in Waikato area.
Perfect beach to go shell hunting. Walk up and down in search for the beautiful coloured shells available. The beach is quite calm and not a surf beach. Lovely walkway to go from Brophy's Beach all the way into Whitianga - super handy when the tide is up and you don't want to walk on the sand/water. Little shade available - only a smattering of palm trees along the reserve. There is also Tupuatapuatea Stream (a creek really) that runs alongside the beach for a bit then into the sea.
Really great views along with the beautiful sun set, coming together to make a beautiful picture. Along with the many fish we caught which were surprisingly easier to find and in turn caught more overall.
