My name is Sonia and since childhood I have had a great passion for traditional Oaxacan cuisine, and not only because I was born in this beautiful land, but also because I am so proud to have learned from the best cooks in the region. My mother always told me that there is no cooking in clay pots and charcoal, since then I have followed her advice. All dishes will be easy to replicate at home, a digital recipe will be provided. I have attended diplomas in pastries and I make cakes with organic eggs and fresh butter. I would love to welcome you to my house and share the knowledge I have gained over all these years. Classes are available in English and Spanish. We offer classes for vegans and vegetarians as long as they let me know in advance. It fills me with emotion to show you everything about Oaxacan cuisine. Welcome!

If you visit Puerto Escondido without surfing, you haven’t had the full experience. We offer everything you need in order to surf the amazing waves of the most iconic surf town in Mexico. We give the option of adding both GoPro and drone footage to your lesson. We adapt the lesson to your level, ensuring that you are always comfortable in the water and have the best time. The location of the classes depend on the size of the waves, so it will differ from day to differ. We will provide you with the location before the class. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable in the water and have fun.

my experience offer a chance to know the chatina culture of my comunity. I live in the village and only with my experience you can visit 2 tradicional houses where the families produce cheese and tortillas, part of our economic activity. we will know our hot springs zone called atotonilco, and we will can give a litte shower to the horses in to the river and ride without sadle like the local people do it in raining season. This experience can be private for big families.

We make the trip on the new highway and tolls included. with an average of 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. The driver arrives 10 minutes before departure. The transfer is direct from Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca, City, in a new and modern vehicle. The route is: Oaxaca - Puerto Escondido on the new highway.

During the tour there will be a stop to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, we will have a brief explanation on the subject of coffee and we will learn about the healing properties of medicinal plants and products made with medicinal plants by the community. We will have time to eat the delicious typical regional food of mole with chicken accompanied by pot beans and tortillas made by hand by community cooks (Food not included in the tour)
