Our Farmhouse lies on a fascinating position on the Tuscan hills. It is surrounded by a vast stretch of olive groves and vineyards of our famous wines: Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano. We are located between Valdichiana and Val d'Orcia, in a unique and unspoiled area. We’ll make you learn about our landscape, on an easy walk through the countryside, woods and olive groves surrounding the farmhouse. Our olive trees are age-old, sumptuous and proud, with robust roots that are witnesses to the passage of centuries. They are trees that we have been growing one by one with love and passion. Through the colors, scents and sounds of the untouched nature, we will reach the olive groves area where you’ll enjoy an intimate time for tasting, which will take you to savor a 4-course menu matched with our wines. You will be trained to exercise your sense of smell and taste, in order to better perceive the flavors and characteristics of our products.
This unique experience allows you to visit the most interesting places in the Val d'Orcia and Montepulciano, traveling along country roads to admire nature and art. The tour begins and ends at the Fattoria Madonna della Querce, next to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Querce in Montepulciano. This farm raises Cinta Senese pigs, a type of black pig with a white cinta, of ancient Tuscan origins. We'll take a short walk through the olive trees and vineyard to reach the pigs, who roam free, separated by an electric fence. We can walk with them, touch them, and take photos. Lunch is included in the experience and includes a menu including: Bruschetta, ribollita (soup soup) in the winter and panzanella (soup soup) in the summer, a platter of our cured meats, Pienza pecorino cheese with jams, cantucci biscuits and vinsanto (sweet dessert wine), water, house wine, and espresso.
Immerse yourself in a shared dining experience at a local's home, enjoy an exclusive show cooking and taste authentic recipes from Montepulciano treasured in family cookbooks passed down by real Italian Mammas. Feel the warmth of Italian hospitality as you connect with local people. Enjoy a 3-course menu with drinks included (water, selection of red and white wines from regional cellars and coffee). This experience is held by Cesarine: Italy’s oldest network of 1000+ home cooks all over the country in more than 500 cities. They are passionate and welcoming hosts that open the doors of their own homes to curious travellers for immersive culinary experiences.
That's a walking tour in the center of Montepulciano. We are going to visit the main attractive, the narrow streets, the panoramic views of the town, then we can go up in the Tower Hall (is not include in the price), the highest point of Montepulciano to have a breathtaking view of the Valleys around the city. Then we will finish the tour with a Wine tasting.
Stop and savor Tuscany, tasting our wines, enjoying a light lunch and the typical flavors of this region. You will visit a hundred-year old wine cellar, where you're going to understand the story behind Fattoria Svetoni and its wines. And of course, there will be wine and lunch time! You'll have a typical classic Tuscan lunch paired with our wines, starting with some special cold cuts from cinta senese and pecorino di Pienza cheese. Don't forget, there is also our olive oil with bruschetta waiting for you. Now that you're ready, you can have the main course, usually Lasagna, and finish the meal with a nice homemade dessert! Come, and enjoy... You won't regret it!
Immerse yourself in a relaxed wine tasting experience in a charming enoteca resembling a cave, situated within historic buildings in the heart of Montepulciano. These traditional rooms are crafted within ancient palaces, which is why their interiors are made of beautiful stone, creating an authentic and timeless atmosphere. Enjoy a selection of locally produced wines, including a red wine, a classic Nobile di Montepulciano, and a special reserve, offering a rich journey through the region’s renowned winemaking heritage. Pair your wine with a platter of regional cured meats and cheeses, highlighting the authentic flavors and traditions of Tuscany. For visitors under 18 years old, a refreshing juice, orange soda, or cola is available as an alternative to wine, perfectly complementing the delicious local snacks. This memorable tasting combines scenic charm, cultural depth, and culinary delight in a truly authentic environment.
Montepulciano is famous for its cellars in the historical center, something that you do not have the chance to visit elsewhere. During your visit at the cellars in the historical center of Montepulciano you will have the chance to learn more about the unique link between the town and its Vino Nobile.
An intimate and relaxing experience that begins with a tour of the winery and the cellar, followed by a tasting of 3 wines from our collection and of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil “Fattoria Svetoni”. A simple and pleasant way to understand our story and enjoy the classical tastes of Tuscany. One of the wines will be for sure the main of the region: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, one of the most representative manifestations of Sangiovese grape variety. Known as "the King of Tuscany", together with Montepulciano "terroir", it creates elegance and complexity.
Kitchen has always been the fulcrum of this home, where my family is living since more than 7 generations. I have always been fascinated by my grandmother's ability to prepare awesome dishes from Tuscan tradition, always with few, simple but precious ingredients. That cultural heritage was in danger of disappearing: I spent a lot of time cooking with her, trying to learn her recipes and secrets. In the end, I realized that she had given me a bigger gift: I had assimilated her cooking philosophy! Then, I realized that tradition is not a dusty book but a living thing able also to adapt to new conditions, and even improve. I studied ingredient's seasonality, their sustainable production systems, new cooking techniques, techniques of tasting: almost without realizing it, in the meantime, I became Chef and finally, also Sommelier. Since a lot of years, I decided to share this path: a long path that is not yet finished... Giacomo

The Montepulciano tour will allow you to discover one of the most fascinating towns of the area, the so-called “Renaissance pearl” sheltered inside Medieval city walls. We will start our tour on the summit of the town, in the magical Piazza Grande, where we will be able to visit the never-finished Cathedral, see the main Gouvernment Palace, the Palaces Contucci and Tarugi, the beautiful 1500 well, and enjoy a wonderful view over the Val di Chiana and part of the Val d'Orcia. We will then descend the town, following the winding main street, thereby admiring Montepulciano's wonderful palaces and churches along the way. We will learn about its traditions … for example:– did you know that once a year they have a barrel-pushing competition? – , and spot all the movie sets of the town! Last but not least, our tour will take us underground to visit one of the ancient wineries of the town, and taste a glass (or more!) of Nobile wine. IMPORTANT: the tour schedule in the system is 10am and 15pm, but the tour times can be arranged directly with the guide upon request.
