Sweet Nellies Beach

Nothing short of Paradise in North west donegal Ireland, a 2 minute drive from Greencastle, a ten minute ferry crossing from magilligan, a MUST see folks, to say its beautiful, would be an understatement🥰🤔,,some places of natural beauty just have to be experienced for oneself, some shots I took@ dawn, this morning,14th august 22,, from my tent window,inspired by my 2 grankids who camped with me,,,there's always light on the somewhat cloudy horizon,, ,, It may not be IBIZA,, but it's some contender,, I've never met a more FRIENDLY,HELPFUL, bunch of People🤔,😉🥰ENJOY your life folks it's shorter than you Know🤔🫣🙂

Absolutely lovely wee beach, with great views of Binevenagh mountain and the Magilligan coast and has a golf course near by if you are into that sort of thing.. Please respect the beach and locals by taking your litter and dog poo home again, it's not a lot to ask to keep this wee treasure safe for everyone to use..

We had the best weekend between here and the Ferryport. Just what was needed

What had previously been a beautiful quiet beach, frequented by locals and home to a population of razor clams is now a hostile place. Its covered with people who are so lazy that they feel compelled to drive their vehicles onto the beach. It is frequented by people who launch their jet skis from the beach, in contravention of the local bylaws and causing danger to swimmers. It is also home to wild campers, who abandon their rubbish and human waste.

Nice beach, better visit on low tide.
