Spectacular beach, good trek down some steep steps, enclosed cove, nice and private, lovely sounds of the waves, plenty of streams and a big waterfall down the cliffs into the sea, Great view of the Napoleonic signalling towers as well with some history on boards closeby

Beautiful beach within two sides of cliffs, with golden sand and crystal water. Very secluded. Reachable from an easy long stairs. Wide car park on top.

Malin Beg and Silver Strand are something to see by yourself. No review or picture can describe it. You have to experience it yourself. Car park is free of charge, has enough space for a good 25-50 maybe more cars so not a big deal. In summer season there is portable toilet, and often you can see coffee van there, but outside of season you will unlikely see one or the other. There’s almost no amenities in Malin Beg so keep that in mind. No shops etc. The nearest amenities are probably in Carrick and Glencolumbkille, where you can find grocery shops, food places and gas station. Views are amazing from the top, but I advise you to keep going down and visit the beach. It’s roughly about 170 steps, so trip down and back turns to a quite decent cardio exercise, but well worth it. If you have any inflatable, bring it with you. Paddling in this amazing bay surrounded by cliffs, caves and sea arches must be amazing. Plenty of space at the beach. Sometimes tends to be windy, but usually not a problem and there are places to hide from the breeze. It is generally fairly safe but supervision of kids is highly advised. At low tide there’s bigger chance that the bottom might be declining after short distance walked into the water, and at high tide the waves might have quite strong pull, but nothing super concerning. Maybe a bit less casual as other beaches, so keep it in mind.

A must for those travelling the wild Atlantic way, breathtaking, and outstanding . A note to camper vans take it easy on the small narrow and bumpy roads . Enjoy a beautiful area of natural outstanding beautiful beaches.

OMG what a breach. Great to walk and the rock's and caves are as spectacular as the cliffs. Walk down is easy. Back up is ok too. Steps are great.
