A truly serene and secluded beach. We had it all to ourselves for half the day. Only in the morning did we see three locals from the house right on the beach. Otherwise, it was complete solitude. Plaka Beach features soft sand and gentle slopes. If you crave peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot. It's wild and unorganized, so bring water and a parasol and simply relax. Here's my tip for getting relatively close to the beach with a regular car: turn left on the main road when you see the signs for "Plaka Beach." Continue straight until you reach the church below. About 100 meters before the church, there's a path on the left blocked by a chain. Park there and walk to Plaka Beach. It takes about 15 minutes at a normal pace, best done with sturdy shoes. Just check Google Maps occasionally to find your way. It's not difficult and absolutely worth it. Plaka Beach is definitely worth the visit.
