Parque Nacional Cahuita has the largest system of Coral Reefs in Costa Rica, including 6 species of coral, a wide range of colorful tropical fishes and the occasional encounter of a harmless reef shark or sting ray. This beach has a horse shoe shape, with the entrance of the park at one end and beautiful Punta Cahuita at the other end. We start with a scenic 20 minutes boat ride to have two snorkeling sessions. Then we get drop off at the Punta to enjoy a nicely presented fruit and snacks break at the beach followed by a 1.5 hour/3.5 kms guided hike in this wonderful coastal forest : monkeys, sloths, birds, iguanas and other interesting encounters are common and complemented with great info from your guide. We will then have breakfast and drive to the Sloth Sanctuary where you will learn about them, their lives, nutrition and anatomy. On this tour, you will put aside your worries, you will relax and enjoy the immensity of the very humid tropical forest of Costa Rica. Some important aspects to take into account: Canoes are small boats. Maximum 8 people per canoe (typical canoe with paddles). It is worth mentioning that it is not necessary to row if you wish, the guide will do it. We offer 3 different schedules to make the tour, however, we recommend doing the 6:00 am, since at this time the animals are more active and the temperature is the best. If you carry your camera, do not forget to take something to protect it against water, since the weather conditions are quite unpredictable and it can rain at any time.

After pickup at the pier, a short drive will take you deep inside the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica.
