By booking a shared transport with Tico Paradise, you are agreeing to travel with more people in the same vehicle, so that you can save money. This type of transport visits each of the hotels of the people who will travel, so the schedule can take between 20 and 45 minutes. The tripfrom Puerto Viejo to Arenak takes around of 4 hours, and also when arriving at the beach you will have to wait for each of the passengers to be dropped off at their respective hotel, so you have to be patient. This will take place in the home or the shaman and here you´ll see how the medicinal plants are used. He will explain where every plant is helpful for and how this is used to heal someone. After the ceremony you´ll see the process of making cacao and enjoy an traditional meal. To end this extraordinary experience you´ll have a hike to the waterfall and have a refreshing swim.

Our tour will take you 2,400 meters of fun and adventure where you will travel the wonderful trails of Nativo, full of flora and fauna. In one of the sections of the aerial route we will have the possibility to make the descent from a platform to the ground with the Tarzan swing. Add another twist to the adrenaline and try our Superman cable, for a little extra!* It will slide for 450 meters at a height of 90 meters, at its highest point, in the same flying position as the famous superhero. We have 6 cables + 1 to perform a test and receive instructions, the platforms are which we launch from one point to another for each cable are 2 platforms in total are 6 cables and 12 platforms where we start and finish each cable.
Parque Nacional Cahuita has the largest system of Coral Reefs in Costa Rica, including 6 species of coral, a wide range of colorful tropical fishes and the occasional encounter of a harmless reef shark or sting ray. This beach has a horse shoe shape, with the entrance of the park at one end and beautiful Punta Cahuita at the other end. We start with a scenic 20 minutes boat ride to have two snorkeling sessions. Then we get drop off at the Punta to enjoy a nicely presented fruit and snacks break at the beach followed by a 1.5 hour/3.5 kms guided hike in this wonderful coastal forest : monkeys, sloths, birds, iguanas and other interesting encounters are common and complemented with great info from your guide. We will then have breakfast and drive to the Sloth Sanctuary where you will learn about them, their lives, nutrition and anatomy. In addition, a canoe tour through the channels of the Sanctuary where you will see the beautiful nature and animals. An unforgettable experience!

This is a unique tour that gives you the opportunity to enjoy the humid tropical forest like never before. Once we arrive at the Cahuita National Park, our guide will be in charge of showing you all the beauties within the park. We will walk for approximately 2 hours in search of wild animals. Once this time was over, we headed to the Bribri community to share the experience of making chocolate in a traditional way. We will arrive at a local family, where we will share for about 2 hours about the history, the way of life, the language and we will also have the opportunity to make 100% organic chocolate in a traditional way. To finish, we will enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients. Then we go to the waterfall where we will walk for approximately 10 minutes until we reach the waterfall where you can enjoy a refreshing swim and to finish we will have a delicious tropical snack.

In 2 hours you will travel through time: from the history of the tree, to the myths, to the very real and important part cacao and chocolate played in the cultures of Mesoamérica. And of course you’ll also be making chocolate. From trying the raw fruit (when available), to roasting, grinding and separating the shell from the nibs you’ll be working just like a professional making award winning chocolate. You’ll learn some of the amazing medicinal uses of chocolate before making your own chocolate ‘medicine’ to take home. Finally, you’ll temper freshly poured molten chocolate and you’ll make your own bar to wrap and enjoy later. There are chocolate tours all over the world, but this is a real hands on experience - you will get chocolate on you! A fun and delicious class!
